 01 February 2007 - New Product Manager...
It is with great pleasure that Mr. Tom Reid has joined the Tube-Mac Group as Product Manager effective February 1st, 2007.
Mr. Reid brings to the position more than twenty-five (25) years of experience in the swage fitting products industry. He brings with him a working knowledge of our PYPLOK and AXISWAGE (formerly D-Lok) product lines including materials planning, production control, sales and marketing. Tom also has a wealth of experience, as a Product Manager for swaged fitting products, in a variety of industries such as Marine, Industrial/Commercial, and Petrochemical Markets.
In his new position of Product Manager, Mr. Reid will be responsible, on a day-to-day basis managing the product line planning that includes extending existing product lines, increasing their range and profitability, and developing new products and solution sets.
Responsibilities to include but limited to:
- Specify market requirements, customer needs and channel sales requirements that meet the needs of the Company worldwide.
- Maintain a timely and responsive knowledge base of competitive information for the Company.
- Work with corporate engineering and manufacturing to develop and implement worldwide-to-market plans.
- Work with corporate sales and marketing to create standard, scripted presentations and white papers.
Ultimately, Tom's responsibilities will include the creation and implementation of a plan for these product lines to expand the business volume worldwide through the development of a comprehensive product line plan within our Tube-Mac Group.
Tom will be maintaining a satellite office in California for the present time with future plans to relocate to eastern United States.
Tom will report directly to Gary Mackay, President of Tube-Mac Industries.
