Tube-Mac Spain is pleased to complete C673 Union Warrior, the first of four (4) tug boat vessels that Astilleros Armon in Navia is building for the Belgium company URS.

Tube-Mac supplied and installed the hydraulic piping for several Brusselle winches, the cranes, towing pins and Schottel propulsion systems. Tube-Mac's non-welded piping technologies were the choice of the shipyard to eliminate all the costs and added labour typical of welded solutions. PYPLOK®

mechanically attached fittings as well as TMI 37° flare flange system were installed in both carbon steel and stainless steel type 316L/316.

The maximum working pressure of the system was 4060 psi (280 bar) and the largest pipe size was 1-1/4".

The job was executed on budget and as expected, there were no leaks. Flushing was also carried out without issues and the required cleanliness level was achieved quickly.

Tube-Mac Spain was congratulated by both the shipyard and the ship owner for the professional manner to which this project was completed.
